Here’s an amusing memory leak:
A 1.5GB browser memory footprint!
It’s a Windows 7 Beta, Clean, default installation, IE 8 as configured as in default Win 7 Beta installation, Flash 10, visiting the Google Analytics Dashboard. Switching to compatibility mode seems to prevent the leak. It’s likely a Flash problem.
I wonder how many non-technical users, when confronted with broken, slow, memory leaking software, blame the hardware and go out an buy a new computer? I know of a couple of people who’ve done just that.
That’s Ok though. Hardware is cheap. Programmers are expensive.
